To qualify for ACCA membership, students must complete the ACCA Qualification, which prepares them to achieve the highest standards in the accountancy profession.

ACCA Qualification Structure

Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM)

This interactive module offers students exposure to a variety of ethical perspectives through realistic, scenario-based learning. Across the units, you will develop essential workplace skills such as problem solving, communication and negotiation that support career progression and align with employer expectations.

Practical Experience Requirement (PER)

To fulfil the PER, students must complete three years (36 months) of supervised experience in a relevant accounting or finance role. This hands-on experience enables students to apply their knowledge, develop core skills, and demonstrate professional techniques in a real-world setting.

5 - Entry Requirements

The Entry Requirements

To begin the ACCA Qualification, students must hold a minimum of:

2 passes at GCE A Level / Higher School Certificate [grades A-E]

PLUS
3 passes at GCE O Level / School Certificate

[grades A-C or 1-6] (in 5 separate subjects including English and Maths)

OR
An equivalent qualification accepted by the ACCA

Study Pathways

BSc Professional Accountancy degree

with the University of London

As from March 2026, eligible ACCA students, affiliates and members will have the opportunity to study towards a BSc in Professional Accountancy with the University of London. This academic pathway offers a valuable progression route, combining professional qualification with a globally recognised degree.

MSc in Professional Accountancy

with the University of London

The University of London recognises ACCA exams as credit towards its MSc in Professional Accountancy. ACCA members and affiliates are required to complete just three modules and a compulsory Capstone project to earn the degree.
